Of all of the things the pandemic could have brought, most people didn’t expect to see real estate and home improvement projects take off the way that they did. But it makes sense: people are spending more time in their homes than ever before, so there has been a renewed focus on living somewhere that you love.
One industry that has undoubtedly seen a spike in demand is lumber! According to recent reports, prices for softwood lumber have jumped approximately 112% year-over-year. And real estate has also seen increased demand for single-family homes, with housing starts up 30% from a year ago.
Because of this, we at Dahl Custom Homes have been working hard to streamline our operations to try and help with this burden. We are incredibly grateful that housing has been such a bright spot in this economic recovery, and that demand is rapidly returning.
